Today a friend of mine who has returned to $WORK for her 2nd internship said that I looked like Egbert (Homestuck) within minutes of seeing me. Ironic that I always thought so too despite me never reading the comic.
My weird skin thing that has sprouted up made me return to the clinic this afternoon and sent off to an emergency dermatologist visit. According to him, it looks like someone brought in the toxic oils from either a poison ivy plant or a “poison ivy type” plant. According to him, not only do th oils just naturally cause mild irritation to people who touch it (it’s normal behavior) but that a few people can actually be allergic to it on top of that. According to him, I’m one of those few people and my allergic reaction to it is pretty severe (hopefully I interpreted what he said correctly). All I can do now is deal with it. He upped my Prednisone prescription to 60mg a day which is probably around the max a human should take before dependency builds. Great.
Good thing about having a severe allergic reaction is that I am now allowed to stay at home and Work From Home until 06/05/2012. At least I get to spend more time with my fiance.

Nah, not at all. I also double checked regarding soaps, ingredient changes in cologne and deodorant, etc. Didn’t eat anything out of the ordinary either. Same food from the same sources.

Asked the Services team at work to see if they were using any new cleaners and that was a negative. I went to the clinic again because it is STILL spreading but they sent me home to go see a dermatologist. They can’t even tell if it’s a contact allergy or an internal thing going because of the info I am giving them.

Only good thing I get outta this is that I am banned from work for about 4-5 days and get to work at home. Hooray Diablo 3!

I actually get this question a lot but I don’t mind answering it as many times as I need to:
